A simple, almost graphic gesture: observing the object as if it had been cut open to reveal its interior. From this image the project is born, and from it comes the name: more than an adjective, Slice Me Nice suggests a way of looking at the object through its cross-section, where what is usually hidden is revealed. Stratification thus becomes the distinctive feature of each side table.
“In the Slice Me Nice project, colour is not conceived as a simple finish, but as an integral part of the object’s construction. It is inserted between two metal surfaces and becomes visible along the edge of the side table, helping to define its proportions and character,” state Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto, Co-Founders of Studiopepe.
